We sell solar too, so we put this in writing: your job and customer details are used only to create and trade the STCs. We do not market to your customers.
No new system to learn
Jobs run through BridgeSelect: the portal for your office and the app for your installer, with panel validation built in.
How it works
From job to payment, in BridgeSelect
BridgeSelect is a Melbourne-based platform and one of the app providers in the regulator's Solar Panel Validation initiative, which can speed up STC processing when there are no other compliance risks.

GST
What you receive depends on who owns the system
The ATO treats the two cases differently, so we show both. GST on STCs, in full.
| Job | You receive | GST |
|---|---|---|
| Home system, owner not registered for GST | $41 per STC | No GST applies to the assignment, so nothing is added and we cannot claim a GST credit on it. |
| Business system, owner registered for GST | $37.27 + $3.73 GST = $41 per STC | A taxable supply. The system owner gives us a tax invoice and pays the GST to the ATO. |
What each claim needs
The same list the regulator asks for
Complete claims get paid first. Most of this is captured in the BridgeSelect app on install day.
- An STC assignment form: the system owner assigns the right to create the STCs to the registered agent
- A written compliance statement from the designer and installer
- A written statement from the retailer. Panels and batteries each need their own
- A certificate of electrical safety (WA also needs a Notice of Completion)
- Photos with time, date and location: panel or battery serial numbers, the inverter serial number and the installer on site
- For a battery: geotagged, timestamped photos of the critical labelling

FAQ
STC trading questions
How much do you pay per STC?
$41 per STC incl GST, as at 3 November 2026. On a home system no GST applies and you receive $41 per STC. When the system owner is registered for GST, the payment is $37.27 plus $3.73 GST. You get the price shown here on the day you submit a complete claim.
When do I get paid?
Within 1 business day of us approving a complete claim, for solar and batteries alike. On your first claim we also confirm your business and bank details, so allow for that. Missing or incorrect information holds up a claim until it is fixed.
Are there any fees?
No. Nothing comes off the price: no processing, administration, registry or software fees.
Is GST included?
It depends on who owns the system, because that is how the ATO treats it. A homeowner's assignment is not a taxable supply, so the $41 has no GST in it and there is no GST for you to pay on it. A GST-registered business owner's assignment is taxable, so the owner gives us a tax invoice.
Your price is above the $40 clearing house price. What should I check?
The regulator advises caution with payment prices above that cap, and on a home system our $41 is above it, so check us as you would any trader. The main risk for you is not being paid. We pay within 1 business day of approval, so start with one job and you have little at risk while you find out. Our written terms, which you get first, set out the price, the timing and who carries the risk if a claim fails.
Do I need BridgeSelect?
Yes, claims run through BridgeSelect: the portal for your office and the app for your installer. If you already use it, BridgeSelect says one login can work with several certificate traders, so you can keep what you have. If you do not, we will help you get set up, at no cost to you.
Do I have to leave my current trader?
No. There is no lock-in and no minimum. Send us one job and see how it goes.
Which jobs do you buy?
Solar panel and home battery systems from anywhere in Australia, as long as the system is eligible and the claim meets the Clean Energy Regulator's requirements. Ask us about anything else.
What happens if the regulator fails a claim after you have paid me?
The Clean Energy Regulator advises every business to have a contract that says who carries that risk. Ours is in our written trading terms, which you get before you send your first job.
You also sell solar. Will you use my job details to sell to my customers?
No. We use your job and customer details only to create and trade the STCs and to keep the records the regulator requires. We do not market to your customers, and that promise is in our written trading terms.
I am a homeowner. Can I sell my STCs to you?
We deal with retailers and installers. Your retailer normally claims the STCs for you and takes the value off your price, so there is usually nothing for you to do. Buying a system from Get Solar? We handle it for you.
